Kevin Hanssens now holds six National Titles and has just won five Belgium titles in a row.
He now joins some illustrious company alongside Lannoye and Haneveer and looking at his current form Hanssens looks like he can rewrite the Belgian Snooker History books.
Hanssens took his first National Title in 2016 with a 7-3 victory over Peter Bullens, then in 2009 he defeated Kristof Vermeiren 7-2.
The previous three years Hanssens defeated Wesley Pilgrims 7-2, Sybren Sokolowski 7-0 and Wesley Pilgrims again last year 7-1.
On April the 13th 2025 he made it a third victory over Pilgrims 5-2 to lift his 6th National Title.
Hanssens also had the highest break in the event with a 105.
In this years Quarter Final Hanssens defeated Hohan D’hondt, in the Semi Finals won 4-0 against Werner Vervondel and a title winning 5-2 against Pelgrims.
If that wasn’t enough Hanssens went on to win the 40+ Title too.
Also Hanssens and Julien Leclercq were EBSA Men’s Team Champions prior to Covid.
Many congratulations to Kevin Hanssens and well done to everyone involved in Belgian Snooker.
