Poland’s Jan Sękowski will officiate at this year’s European Championship decider, showing that Poland have quality Snooker people on and off the table.

At 35 years of age Jan is from Warsaw and got into Snooker by watching the game on Television and then began to play, though he didn’t play at a serious level he has retained his passion and love for the game.

Jan started refereeing in Poland as a Class 3 Referee in 2019 and attended his first European Championship in Albania in 2022, then he Refereed the 2024 WSF Junior Championship Final.

Here in Gandia Jan became a Class 2 Referee and now will Referee the Final.

In everyday life, Jan works as a Project Manager in the entertainment industry. He is an avid Mölkky player which is a very Niche, but interesting sport and Jan is the former Polish and European Champion.
